Southwark's Rising Star awards are a unique opportunity to celebrate and reward the achievements of our young people who are raising standards across the borough – from academic achievement to sport, volunteering to creative talent. Anyone can nominate a young person or group of young people. For more information and to nominate someone visit www.southwark.gov.uk/risingstar
How to nominate
Simply look at the criteria on the nomination form attached and select the category which you are making a nomination for.
Please ensure that you state the reason for nomination in no more than 300 words. Try and be as detailed as possible in highlighting their achievements. Judges may request supporting evidence such as videos or CDs. Only one nomination per form. You can nominate the same person or group for a different prize but please use a separate form.
The closing date for all nominations is Friday June 19 2009.
