Proud of Southwark event
The Proud of Southwark event is about what young people think about gun, knife crime and gangs. Have you got an opinion?
The Proud of Southwark evemt is part one of two events to be held in the borough of Southwark. Come along and take part in the many activities that will be held both indoor and outdoor for all ages.
The doors open at 11am and all activities and workshops will start at approximately 11:30am and run throughout day. Event finishes at 4/30pm
Who is this event aimed at?
This event is for the whole community but is aimed at getting views from young people about some of the issues that affect their local community.
What will happen on the day?
There will be a variety of activities, workshops and information stalls as well as a panel debate, which will include the leader of Southwark council, Peter John. There will also be opportunity for you to win prizes throughout the day.

local organisations will be available to provide information, adivce and support on how to access local services, such as education, employment, apprenticeship and volunteering.

Panel Debate - Have Your Say! Put your concerns to the panel
Shaun Wallace, a criminal barrister and former BBC Master Mind Champion puts the community, leader of the council, Southwark borough commander, Met Black Police Association, reformed gang member and a member of the media under the spot light on gangs, gun and knife crime.
