Positive Profile Awards Ceremony...
...to honour the community work carried out by young people
In recognition of the hard work, dedication
and commitment, a special awards ceremony (funded by the Big Lottery Fund) was organised to honour the community work carried out by the young people.
The awards are part of a campaign to show
other young people in the borough that there are positive things to do.
Richie Woodhall, the
former super middle-weight champion boxer was on hand to meet all of the young people, as well as rapper turned actor, Ashley Walters from So Solid & tv's the Hustle.
The awards ceremony took place on Friday October 2nd, with over 30 young people winning awards. Among them was the Borough, Bankside & Walworth Youth Forum for being involved in the Latin American youth conference and promoting the film competition ‘film ur endz’ during the summer.
