Positive Profile Awards Ceremony...

...to honour the community work carried out by young people

In recognition of the hard work, dedication and commitment, a special awards ceremony (funded by the Big Lottery Fund) was organised to honour the community work carried out by the young people.
The awards are part of a campaign to show other young people in the borough that there are positive things to do.

Richie Woodhall, the former super middle-weight champion boxer was on hand to meet all of the young people, as well as rapper turned actor, Ashley Walters from So Solid & tv's the Hustle.

The awards ceremony took place on Friday October 2nd, with over 30 young people winning awards. Among them was the Borough, Bankside & Walworth Youth Forum for being involved in the Latin American youth conference and promoting the film competition ‘film ur endz’ during the summer.

Congratulations to all the young people who took part.
