No Messing...

Southwark’s the cleanest it's ever been, help us keep it that way.

If you think your streets are looking brighter these days, it’s probably because you now live in one of the top four cleanest boroughs in London.

There are lots of ways you can help keep Southwark clean and green too, from planting trees and flowers, to cleaning up green spaces. So get involved and make sure Southwark stays a place that people love to live, work and visit.

Parklife
With their playgrounds, skate parks and miles of open spaces - Southwark’s parks are great places for young people to chill out and have fun. But if you’re aged eight to 14 and care about your park why not join a young friends group? You’ll get your hands dirty creating wildlife areas and community gardens and organise events. To become a friend of parks, visit southwark parks

Be an enviro-champ

If you care about your environment and want to actively improve your neighbourhood, then volunteer as a street leader or if you’re aged 6  to 16 you can volunteer to become a junior street leader.  You’ll help by reporting environmental problems and suggesting ways to improve your area from improved street lighting to new planters. Find out more information about volunteering to become a Junior Street Leader.

Flower power
From gardens to window boxes and schools to pubs, Southwark in Bloom is an annual celebration of gardening talent and the chance to make your outdoor spaces blossom.
