My City Too
London’s teenagers’ manifesto for better spaces in the capital.
It's important that we get to have a say about places in our city because we often use them in different ways to adults. The Young Londoner's manifesto for better places in the capital aims to do just that.
The My City Too manifesto is drawn from a two year-long-campaign with young people as the My City Too ambassadors from across London. They have debated and developed their ideas through surveys and polls, building exploration workshops, collaborations with architects and developers and have developed creative resources to express their ideas. More importantly, they hope the campaign findings help ensure that in future developments young people are part of the solution rather than being perceived as the problem.
Our ideas
This is the first campaign of its kind. Never before has a whole of London initiative been undertaken to explore what we want from our built environment, what our ideas are for the future of our city and how we can inspire change.
We hope that whoever is the next mayor of London will use these ideas in their policies for London and the built environment.
