As part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, BP Portrait Award: next generation, is inviting young people to get creative this summer! If you would like to develop your skill or learn portrait techniques, then take a look at what's happening at the National Portrait Gallery.
Taster Sessions
The second year of BP Portrait Award: Next Generation got off to a great start with four fully booked taster session in London last year July. Nearly ninety young people got involved, trying their hand at portrait derwaing and metpracticing artists including past BP Portrait Award winners.
Thirty young people, including future artists fromt he London 2012 host boroughs Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, Newsham and Greenwich, participated in two three day summer schools in August.
