Anti-Cyber Bullying Competiton
Have your say about Cyber Bullying...
This year Southwark Council's Children's Services are running
anti-bullying awards and want to give young people
the opportunity to have their say on the subject of cyberbullying. This
borough-wide awards competition will showcase the most creative responses to
cyberbullying from young people.
A team of judges – including a panel from young people - will select the
best entries from school teams who will
be invited to a special awards presentation event at the prestigious South Bank
Centre on the 4th February 2010. Prizes will be given in different
categories and all entries and winners will receive a certificate and have
their work showcased over the following 12 months.
What are the judges looking for?
The criteria for the awards is
very broad and you can choose to highlight any issue of cyberbullying through digital media.
Here’s some
example of what children and young people might choose to create:
-
A powerpoint presentation on how to prevent cyberbullying
-
A video showing the impact of cyberbullying
-
A poster or leaflet to help educate other young people
-
Documenting a training programme for parents or carers or grandparents.
-
Developing a podcast or blog on the subject of cyberbullying
-
A comic strip or animated caption
-
A simple slogan.
