Speaker Box aims to help make life better for children looked after and care leavers. Our specific aims are to

Inform young people of their rights

Encourage them to ask informed questions

Support them to develop and express their views, values and feelings

Enable them to make more informed decisions about their care and treatment

Support them to develop meaningful and trusting friendships

Some of the good things we’ve done

Developed the ‘10 golden rules’ for social workers

Won money through the youth opportunity fund to produce our South East Feast Cookery Book

Advised the national organisation responsible for inspecting social care about how to consult with other young people

Produce a regular newsletter for children looked after and care leavers
