Sense Ability
Young people between the ages of 11-19 years old with severe learning difficulties
Wednesday nights 6.30-8.30pm
This is a smaller group, where the young people benefit from more individualized learning and more support to engage them in activities. The activities are structured to cater for individual needs and interests. The youth curriculum focuses on developing appropriate communication, choice-making, independence and social interaction skills.
The activities have included physical activities, ball games, cooking, sensory room, music, art and other creative activities to develop individual interests’, communication using Makaton signing, visual timetables, choice boards and photos.
