What to do if you have been sexually assaulted

If this has happened to you and you haven't been able to talk to anyone about it, there is help and support for young people at The Havens

If you are 13-18 years old and have been a victim of a sexual assault and you are worried about seeing your GP or the police, or you are not sure what you should do next - don't worry help and support is available from The Havens.

How can Havens help you?

Havens can help young people aged 13 to 18, who have been raped or sexually assaulted. Every young person visiting Havens will be seen by a specialist young persons worker. They make sure you are okay, and help you to recover from the assault.

They also have specialist doctors who are able to carry out an examination (this will only be done with your permission).

Follow-up care means that any treatment or counselling can be provided as well as someone to talk to.
