What is uthink logo London?

 Rethink, a mental health charity, spoke to young people about what type of services they wanted. The idea was to create programmes that would engage and benefit young people.  uthink quote 4

Uthink London is based in ten boroughs including Southwark and they also provide information, guidance and support to allow young people to explore emotional health and well-being.

What programmes do they offer?

 uthink young people  Uthink offer a range of programmes that focuses on recovery as well as involving interactive activities, multi-media and creative arts. 

 

  • Recovery Learning Programmes

This programme is especially designed for young people who have or are at risk of developing serious mental illness. Delivered over 8 sessions, the course aims to increase young people’s confidence, coping strategies, self esteem and communication skills through interactive activity.

  • Mental Health Awareness Sessions in Schools

A school based session for 14-18 year olds offering information, advice and guidance in an interactive workshop.

  • Leadership Programmes

A two day training opportunities for graduates of the Recovery Learning Programmes – or can be undertaken independently – to offer young people opportunities to develop personal skills as well as the skills needed to enter employment, Media Volunteering, Campaigning & Activism

  • Young Siblings Programmes

For siblings aged 14-25 – Tailor-made projects for young people who have a sibling with severe mental illness- includes leadership skills and educational workshops to support young people in their role.
