What do you do when you have a complete blank and you can't remember what goes where?
Trying to remember information during an exam can be quite stressful. But you can give yourself a head start by using mental reminders techniques used to help you remember information.
Acronymic sentence
An Acronymic sentence is is a sentence that is created using the first letter of each piece of information to be remembered. It helps you remember informaton that need to be in a certain order. See example below;
My very earthly mother just served us noodles
The fact being remembered is the order of the planets around the sun, from closest to furthest.
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune
Acronyms
Acronyms have a similar purpose as Acronymic sentences, but the difference is that instead of a sentence a word is formed from the first letter of each fact to be remembered. It can be a real word or a word you've made up. See examples below;

The fact being remember is the method used to analyse a piece of text you will come across during an exam.
Language - Is the language persuasive, informative, descriptive, childish or adult?
Information - Is the information in the document factual, a series of the writer’s opinions, or a mixture of the two?
Style- Is focused on the presentation of the text as well as the look and feel of the text
Tone - This is linked to language. Imagine how you would read this document aloud. Do you need a serious, humorous, sad or angry tone of voice?
